The Guests Story!

In 2012, I remembering around summer time. My dad told me about some guests coming soon. I don't know who they are, my dad either. I was in upstairs in our stores, some peoples start to come over to upstairs. One man, two women, and two children arounds mine ages. I am in shock.

Communication

How are the people communicate? Really good question right, we are communicate with speaking. Let me change a little bit, let's say your guest coming in your place and doesn't speak your language at all. How you can communicate with them? Remember, we are in 2012, smartphones are not common thing, so you cannot use internet for communicate. This was the our experience with these family. They are from Syria, still living in Turkey where I am living. They escaped from civil war. My dad doesn't speak Arabic, and they don't speak Turkish. It was the experience, really interesting one. They been our guest around one week, after that they rent a house.

Learning the Culture and Language

One of this children in my ages started learning Turkish a while later, we started playing games, working together etc. He started going to school, learned the culture. Now he has a salesman job here, he know 4 languages. Very impressive to be honest. But learning the culture and language happened so fast because of his age. We are like in 9-10 years old in that time.

Teenage Period

Puberty, really interesting. Some teenager does weird stuff, do harmful thing etc. Because we don't thing normal in this stage of life. I did also some bad stuff. But if you have to leave your country and still there is a war there, you will think extreme thing. This is how he think.
He wanna go to join to war. Want to save his country from this situation. That does not make sense, I know but this is teenage period and people cannot think clearly. Thankfully, he didn't join.

The Hope

Last week we got a good news, Assad rejime collapsed. This means can be the solution of the Syrian Civil War after 12 years. A lot of people died in this war and a lot of people escaped from them country. This is a very sad story. This people have to leave them country because of civil war. And now they have a hope. I talked with his father in this Sunday, he was so hopeful, he wanna go back his country. He missed it, I saw it in his eyes. I even tell him I wanna visit his city.

Last message from me

This is my war story from childhood to now. I met this amazing family, been living in same city and worked with them around 5 years. Some bad things effect our lives and we think its sucks but when we take a look at the big picture, maybe we can see some good stuff as well. I wish this war didn't happens but it happend, and we met this good peoples. Thank you for them.
